We decided to continue the meeting since people were in attendance and to reserve 7/5 for New Secretary Onboarding

Dealing with challenges in meetings

• Getting commitments filled
  
  Tanna will announce at the in-person Moorpark meetings
  New secretaries can ask individuals in a direct manner to be of service
  
  • A group conscience was taken to hold elections before A Vision For You, Natara will amend the guidelines on the website
• Increasing attendance
  
  Nudging sponsees and sponsorship siblings
  Announce the meetings at other meetings
  Pulling speakers from Moorpark in-person 9, 12, and 3 (online too)

  Ask Central Office for a speaker list

  At least one of the Moorpark in-person meetings has one too
  Heidi created a list that may get handed out during onboarding, or you can ask her for it directly

  Ask people whose message you like at other meeting to come speak
  Make an AA announcement at in-person meetings that you have speaker slots available
  Get referrals from other speakers
  Ask your sponsor for recommendations

  • A group conscience was passed to add the following to the Meeting Announcements just after the Responsibility Statement:
    • Please do not comment on anyone’s appearance; not everyone is comfortable with that
    • If you are being harassed during the meeting, please reach out to security or a co-host immediately and it will be handled

  • It is up to a secretary or security as to who to let in and who to remove; it is their job to help maintain a safe space
  • We recommend that Secretaries or Security close the chat or make it co-hosts only during the meeting
